Comic Book Guy - Simpsons

Anyone who watches the Simpsons is familiar with the comic book guy. This character has yellow skin, has long brown hair tied back in a ponytail and is overweight, always trying to stiff himself into the blue t-shirt and red shorts. He usually wears blue and white sneakers, but on occasion he has worn sandals. Although he holds a Master's degree in folklore and mythology and has an IQ of 170, he does not act like an educated person. He is very sarcastic and rude and has one goal in life - to make money. In fact the only time he likes to get off his stool is to take money from a customer.

As a science fiction buff, the comic book guy on the Simpsons has several possessions that he really values. One is a copy of Mary Worth where she advises a friend to commit suicide and another is a picture of Sean Connery, with Roger Moore's signature on it. He does possess an alter-ego - the collector, who supposedly is a superhero of comic book fame. The allusion is made to collecting comic books with references to the fact that this superhero is one comic book issue that collectors would die to get their hands on.

Although the real name of the comic book guy on the Simpsons, we found out in one episode that it is Jeff Alberston. We know that he owns the Android's Baseball and Card Shop, he is 45 years old and lives with his parents. Some of the avid Simpsons' fans can quote some of his sayings and can give you the names of all the shows in which he played a major or minor part. His favorite saying is 'Worst Ever' with a pause between the two words. He rarely says 'Best Ever', but when he does it also has the pause. Some fans believe that this character is actually intended to poke fun at fans who criticize the writers of certain episodes by claiming them to be the 'Worst Ever'.
