The comic introduces us to the Castle Marrach gaming world and it's many different characters and intrigues.

This comic book is a great introduction to Castle Marrach, giving those who may not be familiar with it the chance to experience a fantastic world born out of imagination and fantasy.Thrusting the reader headlong into the unfamiliar castle in which Victor Savary also finds himself, the author immerses the reader in a setting that is unfamiliar and unsettling, while giving the reader no easy answers and forcing them to experience what Victor himself is going through. In this way, the author gives the reader the chance to make sense of what this new place is and allows for their own interpretation of events as

well as building anticipation towards finding the answers to their questions.

Those answers and even more questions can be found in the Castle Marrach online gaming experience.

Bob Cram, jr. is a proven talent having drawn comic books for Malibu and Marvel and his artwork in Awakenings is very clean and adds depth and atmosphere to the story.

Based in H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham in 1933, this remarkable introduction to the Arkham by Night gaming world gives the reader a true sense of H.P. Lovecraft's subtle style of horror. The story is very well crafted and achieves it's purpose, which is to draw the reader into the plot and make them hunger for more.

Fortunately, the craving can be satisfied with the Return to Arkham online gaming experience. This is a solid piece of storytelling and could easily make the transition from being published online to traditional comic book publishing and find an eager audience.

The artwork from Saffronage Solutions is simply wonderful. Far better than a lot of comic books on the shelves in stores today, it showcases considerable technical skills and fine storytelling, ignoring today's trend of style over substance comic book art. Reminiscent of the work of Bernie Wrightson, it blends beautifully with the story and adds a dark sense of foreboding to the tale. The art fits the period of the story and the material perfectly.
